: The Elland & Ryburn Circuit 

Greetland

John Wesley preached at Greetland Wesley in 1781, 1784 and 1786. The Greetland Circuit consisted of Greetland Wesley, which opened in 1779, and four other churches which were Thornfield, Sowood, Stainland and Krumlin  The discovery of dry-rot at Greetland in 1973 led to the church's demolition and a new system-built church opened at the end of 1974. This is the only church remaining from the the former Greetland Circuit which merged to form the Elland & Greetland Circuit in 1968 and which merged with the Sowerby Bridge Circuit to form the Elland & Ryburn Circuit in 1997

Programme and Opportunities

Worship and Study

There is a Sacrament of the Lord's Supper at 9 am on the alternate first Sunday of the month. See plan or contact the Minister.

Morning Worship alternate Sundays at 10.30am. See plan or contact the Minister.

Evening Worship on some evenings is at 6pm and is in the Church. A Home Fellowship meets on an occasional basis. Please see the Plan or contact the Minister for details

A Prayer Meeting is held at the Church on Saturdays at 9.00am.

Serving and Meeting People

Lively Ladies on Monday evenings once a month.

Coffe and Lunch Fellowship on Tuesdays, 11am - 1pm

Mother and Toddlers on Thursday

Jay C's Greetland & Lindwell kids' club for 4 - 11s, meeting 6 - 7.15pm Friday evenings
